PRIME Journal Vol. 11 Issue 4

I T FEELS GREAT TO BE ATTENDING PHYSICAL EVENTS ONCE AGAIN AND WE couldn’t have chosen a more fitting event —AMWC is the marquee event series in Aesthetic and Anti-ageing Medicine. Taking place in Monaco from 16–18 September across both physical and virtual formats, the Congress aims to continue bringing the best speakers, content, and innovation for their delegates, ensuring they truly do have something for everyone. The Scientific Committee, composed of eminent, internationally recognised experts in Plastic Surgery, Aesthetic Dermatology and Anti-Ageing Medicine, will oversee the programme consisting of over 300 presentations in 55 scientific sessions conducted in English, French and Russian. Sessions will include highly practical training and educational sessions on minimally invasive procedures, aesthetic dermatology, advanced injectables, lasers and EBD’s, thread lifting, anti-ageing medicine, and regenerative aesthetics. Speakers will include world-renowned names such as Dario Bertossi (Italy), Chytra Anand (India), Claude Dalle (France), Steven Dayan (USA), and Kate Goldie (UK). For those unable to make it to Monaco, the AMWC virtual platform will deliver multiple live stream channels each day, so you don’t miss a thing. Delegates will also have the option to visit virtual exhibitor booths to ask questions and conduct one-to-one video meetings and direct messaging. Delegates will also be able to network with their peers, on site or virtually, thanks to algorithm-driven ‘matchmaking’, which will help create new friendships and connections with like-minded individuals like never before. Looking at the current issue of PRIME Journal and we have features covering everything from rosacea, double eyelid surgery to periocular filler complications. Our special feature this issue looks at Galderma’s 25 th anniversary of its leading hyaluronic acid filler—Restylane®. You can find the article on page 16. In addition, we have two case studies this issue. The first, by a team of doctors led by Eric Song, MD, makes the case for picosecond lasers as a safe and effective treatment for total facial rejuvenation. You can find out more on page 46. Our second case study, written by a team led by Arna Shab, MD, describes how thermomechanical fractional injury (TMFI) technology can be used to improve wrinkles and skin appearance in the periorbital region. The full article can be found on page 54. PRIME Journal is proud to partner with both the AMS and AMWC in bringing the Congress together. In exchange, we are recognised as the official media partner of the AMWC, with copies of PRIME Journal freely available at all AMWC events.
